“This fasting by me on November 7th 2023 is not against anyone. My only request and demand is to get monthly salary on last date. I hope the concerned people can understand the pain and problem, and take necessary action for the benefit of our MKU faculty members and administration staff as soon as possible. Most of the young faculty members suffered in many ways and could not even purchase and pay for groceries for their families, children’s school fees, housing loans etc. The delay in monthly salary is making us suffering. To show and express the pain and problems, I declare for one day fasting on November 7th 2023 Tuesday in MKU from 10 am to 6 pm,” Dr.S.Sivakumar, Associate Professor, Department of Organic Chemistry, School of Chemistry-Madurai Kamaraj University, has said in his open letter from Madurai received on November 6th 2023.
