Modi connects with Madurai for ‘Job Mela’; 89 candidates receive appointment letters for Central govt jobs with 30 new recruits joining Railways

MADURAI: Appointment letters were given to the newly recruited candidates of various Central government departments and organizations in Madurai today- July 12th 2025- at the 16th edition of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ which is a flagship employment program of the Government of India led by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi.

The newly recruited candidates had received their appointment order letters at the handing over event for new recruits in Central government services which took place at Railway Kalyana Mandapam in Madurai Railway Junction West Entry here today morning, and was addressed by Prime Minster Mr.Modi through video-conference connecting 47 venues across the country, according to a press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today.

Appointment letters were given to the new recruits and this marks their career start in public service and the appointments covered a wide range of Central government sectors.

“The Indian Railways had inducted 30 candidates in the ‘Rozgar Mela’ held today giving them jobs, and 18 will be in Madurai Division, six are in Tiruchi Division and remaining six candidates are in Salem Division of the railways. The Department of Posts gave 19 appointments while the Union Bank of India inducted 16 candidates. Indian Bank got 10 recruits and SBI got 6 candidates in today’s event. Additionally, six candidates will join the Health Ministry while one candidate is for CISF and three are from University of Tiruvarur,” the railway press release has informed today.

Mr.Sharad Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager-Madurai Division and Mr.L.N.Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, were present at the ‘Rozgar Mela’ appointment letters distribution event in Madurai today- July 12th 2025- along with Dr.R.Thirumurugan, Registrar and Mr.A.R.Venkatakrishnan, Joint Registrar from the Central University at Tiruvarur.

Mr.Naresh Chander Pal Singh, Deputy Commandant, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Mr.M.S.Sabumon, AGM, Union Bank of India and Mr.M.Ponniah, assistant director, Department of Post-Madurai, were among those present today.
