Tejas Express feedback: Will it stop at Tambaram station?

MADURAI: Feedback and suggestions taken from train passengers about TEJAS Express has received an appeal whether it will be possible for including Tambaram station in Chennai as a stoppage point for the passengers to board this attractive train.

On 14th October 2020, a press release was received from the Southern Railway Madurai Division here today about the steps being taken by the railway authorities- especially the Commercial wing- to increase the passenger patronage for Tejas Express from Chennai to Madurai and from Madurai to Chennai.

“Divisional Railway Manager of Madurai Division- Southern Railway Mr.V.R.Lenin has asked the Commercial section of the division to take feedback, suggestions and opinions from passengers. Only a few days back, there was a change in departure timing from Chennai by 30 minutes…..and now there was a query from passengers whether Tajas Express can stop at Tambaram railway station also for the convenience of passengers. This was a feedback,” the press release said here today.

Air-conditioning facility, coaches cleanliness, railway staff service- in train service etc were among those asked for the feedback and the response from passengers was that they are satisfied. The feedback exercise was done by Senior Commercial Manager of Madurai Railway Division Mr.Prasanna and his team.

Also, the Divisional Railway Manager had released awareness pamphlets about the LHB train coaches introduced by the Indian Railway. These rakes are done with high technology and features. Rail engine belts- reducing the sound etc were among those issues dealt with. The pamphlets were released by Divisional Railway Manager Mr.V.R.Lenin and they were received by train engine pilots Mr.S.Rangarajan and Mr.R.Sundara Rajan, the press release received here today had informed- on 14th October 2020.
