MADURAI: Nearly 25 youngsters from North India who were affected because of Section 144 and complete lockdown due to Coronavirus have got a helping hand from the Madurai district police on 29th March 2020.
The Nagamalai Pudukottai police station personnel led by inspector Mr.Gopinath showed their humanitarian approach to help the deserving persons by providing these youth from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh with foodgrains etc.
“All shops have been closed and there is no business for these youth North India……So, they were given groceries, food items, rice, dhal, vegetables, wheat flour, fruits and gas cylinder so that they will not be in hunger. This is the human touch for the affected youth……so that they will be able to manage in this current Coronavirus crisis situation,” a police official has said.
This help was done by the Nagamalai Pudukottai police based on the advise of Madurai District SP Mr.Maniavannan. The youth are involved in selling bedspreads, paani puri, cleaning materials etc in and around Madurai.
