CHENNAI: Two persons have died of Corona virus COVID-19 Positive in Tamil Nadu taking the total death in the State to five.
A 60-year-old male patient who was admitted to the Stanley Medical College Hospital in Chennai on 1st April 2020 for Corona positive treatment died in the early hours on 5th April 2020 (at 1.45 A.M.) today in the hospital, according to a press release from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Another person who was aged 71 years, belonging to Ramanathapuram, also died due to Corona infection. This patient was admitted on 2nd April 2020 at 9.45 am. in Stanley Medical College Hospital in Chennai. He died at 11.45 the same day. It is now confirmed through tests today that this patient had COVID-19 and was Corona positive.
With these two deaths reported and confirmed by the State Government, the number of Corona positive deaths in Tamil Nadu goes up to 5.
Already one male patient had died of Corona in Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai and another male patient at Villupuram Government Hospital. At Theni Government Hospital, one woman died because of Corona virus infection on 4th April 2020.
