
Business transformation program for small and micro entrepreneurs with disabilities which was conducted by CII Madurai Zone in Madurai on July 1st 2026.
MADURAI: Micro entrepreneurs with disabilities got a major boost to learn on how to run their business in an organized manner thanks to a special business transformation program conducted exclusively for them by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madurai Zone here today-July 1st 2026.
The CII Foundation had taken this initiative through its CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL) to provide capacity-building orientation program which is designed and curated for specially-abled entrepreneurs so that physically challenged persons can face the business challenges with confidence and required skills.
Dr.Hema Sathish, convenor-IWN Madurai Chapter and Managing Director of Devadoss Hospitals Pvt Ltd, took part in the inaugural session along with Ms.S.J.Amutha Shanthi, Board Member, State Welfare Board and managing trustee of Thiyagam Women’s Trust.
“The Government of India has taken several initiatives for empowerment of micro entrepreneurs. So, you should know how to register and avail the schemes, how to do marketing etc. This is a learning process,” Dr.Hema Sathish has said.
Ms.K.Sudhamathi, Deputy Director & Head, CII Madurai Zone and Mr.T.Hariharan, Deputy Director, CII CEL had emphasized that the business transformation program conducted in Madurai today is aimed to help the micro entrepreneurs and persons with disabilities through knowledge transfer, mentorship, market access, financially informed decisions and peer learning.
Mr.V.Viswanathan, trainer from Poornatha education company in Chennai, had conducted the training sessions in a simple easy manner with focus on leadership, sales, AI tools, accounts etc by giving a wide range of inputs in entrepreneurship.
