
MADURAI: Globally recognized interventional cardiologist hailing from India Dr.Aravind Kumar Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the National Young Ambassador for Heart Failure in Georgia by Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology.
He is currently serving as cardiology clinical advisor to the Ministry of Health in Liberia and as an Associate at Lakshmi Mittal Institute-Harvard University.
“The recognition as young ambassador for heart failure in Georgia marks a significant milestone in cross border cardio vascular advocacy and highlights India’s growing leadership in global heart health initiatives. Dr.Aravind Radhakrishnan has been playing a pivotal role in advancing access to cardiac care through mobile cath labs, digital health solutions and national heart failure strategies,” according to a press release received here yesterday- May 7th 2025.
In his new role, he will work in close collaboration with Georgian Heart Failure Association to ensure youth engagement, early detection and preventive strategies for heart failure.
“This initiative is closely aligned with the goals of World Heart Federation (WHF). The burden of heart failure has to be tackled through heart education and scaleable interventions. My appointment by the Georgian Heart Failure Association is expected to catalyze partnerships between India, Georgia and other stakeholders in advancing cardiovascular health through knowledge sharing and research collaboration. As a cardiologist, I take this an an unique opportunity,” Dr.Aravind Kumar Radhakrishnan, who is just 40 years of age with wide experience in heart care, has said.
