MADURAI: The Postgraduate and Research Department of Home Science of Fatima College in Madurai had organized an inter-collegiate meet called ‘Nutrifest 2026’ here on September 30th 2026 to commemorate National Nutrition Week which was observed with this year’s theme of ‘Discover the Power of Nutrition’.
CEOA College of Arts & Science was the overall winner while the The American College came as runner-up, according to a press release from Fatima College yesterday.
The competitions included Nutri Parade, group dance, cooking, e-quiz, pigment to print art work, stand-up comedy, memes, short film, footloose, Ad Act and also a platform to showcase students’ creativity and awareness of nutrition and India’s rich food heritage, the press release added.
Dr.G.Sivaraman, managing director and chief Siddha physician at Arogya Healthcare in Chennai, was the chief guest for valedictory function event where prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners and participants.
Dr.Sr.Ignatius Mary, Secretary of Fatima College, Dr.Sr.J.Arul Mary, Vice-Principal (Shift-I) and Dr.S.Shanti, Associate Professor and Head of PG and Research Department of Home Science, were among those who spoke at this event for which the organizing secretaries were assistant professor Dr.K.Karthiga and associate professor Dr.C.Helen, the press release said.
