MADURAI: The management and staff of AL-AMEEN Higher Secondary School at K.Pudur in Madurai had a cherishing proud moment yesterday because of the medals and laurels being won by this school students in various sports events held at district and State level.
Melur District Educational Officer Mr.Ganesan had visited the school campus on August 31st 2026 evening and spent time with the young sports persons of this school who got elevated to take part in State-level sports events during this academic year 2026-27 which are held on behalf of School Education Department of Tamil Nadu and the particular appreciation was for those who won in Under 17 yrs and Under 19 yrs of Kabaddi along with Madurai district level boxing, judo and fencing competitions..
SPORTS QUOTA FOR STUDENTS:
“Our District Educational Officer DEO Mr.Ganesan of Melur educational district had motivated us for our students’ success in sports events at district level. He spoke about the sports quota that is available for admissions to higher studies in colleges, universities and for government jobs. He gave positive words for our students to win medals and prizes in coming days by going for regular sports practice and take part in tournaments. His visit to our school on August 31st 2026 was very motivating,” the physical education team of Al-Ameen School comprising Mr.Amith, Mr.M.Kadar and Mr.S.Mansoor has said while expressing their happiness for success of their students in sports and thanking the school correspondent Mr.Mohammed Idris for his support to children in sports arena.
Mr.S.Sheik Nabi, Headmaster of Al-Ameen Higher Educational School and assistant HMs Mr.Mohamed Rafi and Mr.Alkaj Mohamed were among those who took part in the felicitation event held for students winners from this school here yesterday, according to the press release and these students had won on Chatrapatti Zone for under 17 and under 19 years kabaddi competition and at Madurai revenue district level boxing, judo and fencing competitions.
