MADURAI: Eminent academician and former member of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Prof.E.Balagurusamy has appealed to the voters of Tamil Nadu to cast their vote with conscience and not just with their finger.

“Vote not just with your finger, but with your conscience. Please vote smart and this is my appeal to the electorate of Tamil Nadu when the State goes to assembly elections on April 23rd 2026. Every vote must reflect only wisdom and not impulse. I am requesting the citizens of Tamil Nadu to adopt “4C” framework to choose the right candidate when they go to polling booth on the day of elections. Please see the character, capability, commitment and clarity of the candidate to whom your are voting. Please think beyond identity, inducements and rhetoric. Let us vote with responsibility and purpose. So, vote not just with your finger but with your conscience because it is your future and our future,” Prof.E.Balagurusamy who is also a former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, has said in a press statement issued by him recently to urge the Tamil Nadu voters to think and vote.
