MADURAI: Actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has stepped up its campaign in Madurai South assembly constituency with candidate Er.M.M.Gopison carrying out a door-to-door visit to seek votes for his victory.
Accompanied by the party’s young brigade and party cadres including a large number women, he walked through the narrow lanes and residential areas in Goripalayam area, Alwarpuram and Mathichiyam today morning- April 14th 2026- by braving the scorching heat in this hot summer and hot election season.
“I am appealing to the voters in Madurai South constituency to vote for TVK because people want a change of present government in Tamil Nadu. So, Vijay and whistle symbol are the best hope in all aspects. And, I will put a personal attention in all the 15 wards in this constituency. My assurance is that Madurai South will be made as a model constituency in terms of development, employment and public safety,” TVK’s Madurai South candidate Er.M.M.Gopison has said as he visited several streets and homes asking people to cast their votes to Vijay party and whistle symbol.
Earlier, he garlanded the statue of Muthuramalinga Thevar at Goripalayam and offered his respects before he commenced his walk to meet the voters.
The TVK candidate told ‘Lotus Times’ media during the morning campaign today that he will be just one phone call away from the people of Madurai South if he wins the election and if people give him an opportunity to serve as MLA.
TVK cadres distributed pamphlets to the residents in Goripalayam, Alwarpuram and Mathichiyam areas giving details about the election manifesto assurances of the party and various schemes proposed to be implemented if TVK wins and comes to power in 2026 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and if TVK candidate Er.M.M.Gopison becomes MLA of Madurai South assembly constituency.
