MADURAI: The President of India Mrs.Droupadi Murmu had presented four books to the library of Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School at K.Pudur in Madurai.
These books were received through registered post by the school today afternoon-August 22nd 2025- with a great delight and exuberance by staff and students.
The school Headmaster of Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School here Mr.S.Sheik Nabi had written a letter to Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 21st 2025 by humbly requesting the President of India to provide her autographed books for the Al-Ameen Higher Secondary School library in Madurai.
Responding to the HM’s request, the President had sent the English and Hindi versions of two books-‘Saga of Rashtrapati Bhavan’ and ‘Wings to Our Hopes’ by presenting them to the school library with her autograph signature.
School Correspondent Mr.Mohammed Idris, Headmaster Mr.S.Sheik Nabi, Assistant HM Mr.Zahir Hussain, Alkaj Mohammed, Tamilkumaran, teachers, office staff, students and parents have today thanked the President for presenting books to the school library.
‘The school Headmaster Mr.S.Sheik Nabi had sent a request letter to the President of India for her autographed books by informing her that the school had started a small library to cultivate reading habit among students. We will preserve your books as a priceless treasure. Receiving books from the First Citizen of the country will motivate future generations in Madurai,” according to a press release received from the school today.
Already, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr.M.K.Stalin had gifted a few books to Al-Ameen School library in Madurai besides former Director General of Police Mr.Sylendra Babu and eminent writer Indira Soundararajan.
