
MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Minister for Information and Publicity and for Tamil Development Mr.M.P.Saminathan had visited the Gandhi Memorial Museum in Madurai today- August 18th 2025- to inspect the extensive renovation works being carried out to give a refurbished look to the prestigious museum here which is a heritage building.
He went around the entire museum campus and asked for complete details about the progress of renovation works and after a review meeting he said that steps will be taken for the inauguration of renovated museum on October 2nd 2025 by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin or at a date available for the CM to inaugurate the renovated museum for which the State government had given funding support.
Accompanied by Madurai District Collector Mr.KJ Praveen Kumar, the Minister had visited all the galleries and enquired about the heritage building renovation works. The Gandhi Memorial Museum team in Madurai including its secretary Mr.K.R.Nanda Rao, treasurer Mr.M.Senthilkumar and others had given a detailed presentation to the Minister and top officials about the finishing works being carried out in the museum right now and the special features coming soon through renovation.
