Digital life certificates at doorstep for Govt pensioners: Postal dept makes it easy in just few minutes

MADURAI: For pensioners who have to submit their life certificates from November 1st, there is now going to be a hassle-free process in place thanks to the Postal Department.

Digital life certificates will be delivered at the pensioner’s doorstep by postal worker for the pensioners of central government, EPFO pensioners, State government, military pensioners and others who are required to submit their life certificates from November 1st onwards.

To avoid hassles of submitting life certificates in person, the India Post Payments Bank under the Postal Department has arranged for postal workers to collect digital life certificates (Jeevan Pramaan) using bio-metric or FACE RD app method directly from pensioners’ homes,” a press release received from Senior Superintendent of Madurai Division of postal department, has informed here today.

For this service, a nominal fee of Rs.70 will have be paid to the postal worker and those pensioners who want to avail this service can contact their nearest post offices or the local postal worker. They can also register a service request through the website https://ccc.cept.gov.in/ServiceRequest/request.aspx or by downloading the “Postinfo” app. For further details they can contact 0452-253 4499.

Special camps will be organized in all post offices from November 1st onwards to provide this service to pensioners who can submit their Aadhaar number, mobile number, PPO number and pension account details to the postal workers and get the process done easily for submitting the digital life certificate within a few minutes, the press release received from Postal Department’s Senior Superintendent of Madurai Division has informed on October 30th 2024.
