
MADURAI: In the wake of several relaxations and ease of Corona lockdown rules from 1st September 2020 in Tamil Nadu, a thorough review meeting was held by the Madurai Corporation in Madurai on 3rd September exclusively for marriage halls.

Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has today made it clear that thermal scanner fever screening, six-feet distance in seating, sanitizer, social distancing and all COVID-19 norms are a must to be implemented in all marriage halls. “If there is any need for alert or a clarification, the marriage hall owners can call 84284-25000. It is also important that the marriage halls must pay the dues to the Madurai Corporation immediately. Please take all steps to follow COVID prevention rules,” Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has said at the review meeting held Zone-3 Teppakulam- at Selvam Soap Mahal.
The allowed number of persons only should enter the marriage function. Former Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine of Government of Tamil Nadu Dr.Kulandaisamy, corporation health inspectors and various officials were present at this important meeting held for alert-cum-awareness meeting for marriage halls rules and restrictions after the lockdown rules were relaxed.
