MADURAI: Congress Party functionaries and cadres in Madurai district today staged a protest demonstration urging the Centre to stop holding NEET entrance exam now because of COVID pandemic.
Led by Madurai District Congress Committee president Mr.V.Karthikeyan, several office-bearers and members of Youth Congress besides cadres of Congress party took part in the demonstration held in Tallakulam in Madurai city on 28th August 2020.
“We are appealing to the PM and Union Government to think twice on the issue of conducting NEET for medical college admissions now at this stage when there is Corona pandemic across India. Many opposition parties have already appealed to the Centre to stop NEET for now for the safety of students,” the Congress party leaders in Madurai said today joining the party’s nationwide appeal calls.
