MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Minister for CooperatiON Mr.Sellur K.Raju had inspected various infrastructure development works near Thirumalai Nayak Mahal in Madurai city today- on 28th August 2020. These developmental projects are going on as a part of SMART CITY MISSION works being carried out by the Madurai Corporation, according to a press release here.
Minister Mr.Sellur Raju,along with Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan and City Engineer Mr.Arasu, went to various places near Mahal area here today and also enquired about the works going on in Vilakuthoon area here.
Smart City works totally worth Rs.900 crore are going on in Madurai city. In that, the civil construction work going on at Periyar Bus Stand here is important and it is about Rs.157 crore. The railway station, information centre for tourists, Vaigai riverbed works etc and Anna Nagar bridge are being done now. Traffic congestion reduction and road widening works are being done among various infrastructure projects being done in Madurai under Smart City works of the Central government,” the press release said today.
