MADURAI: The Health Department officials are on constant vigil at the Madurai airport in the drive against spread of Coronavirus.
On 23rd March 2020, four passengers had arrived here by flight and they were sent to quarantine camp in Chinna Udaippu area near the airport as a precautionary measure after carrying out screening. Three passengers came from Dubai and one had gone and returned from America, according to sources.
After stamping, they were sent to the special camp for 14 days. The passengers gave some anxious meoments to the health authorities and airport staff since the passengers tried to meet the family members who came to the airport.
