MADURAI: Dr.P.S.Navaraj, former principal and Dean with vast experience in colleges in Madurai, has become member of International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN). He is awarded the membership in IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management.
According to a press release here on 3rd April 2020, IUCN was established in 1948 in France and since then it has been working on measures to safeguard nature with a balanced approach. It guides nature conservation action. It played key role in holding international conventions, implementation of international agreements such as the Paris Climate Change Agreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
