MADURAI: The Health and Family Welfare Department of Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a G.O (dated 3rd April 2020) notifying the list of private designated hospitals for treatment of Corona COVID-19 patients. Willing patients may approach the notified private hospitals to receive treatment at their own cost and the private hospitals are directed to follow treatment protocol prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
This list is in addition to the already offered treatment in all Government medical college hospitals, district headquarters hospitals and key sub-district hospitals completely free of cost.
“The decision to include private hospitals in Tamil Nadu for COVID-19 treatment to patients is to prevent the spread of this communicable disease. Private hospitals are directed to send a daily report on treatment given to corona patients to the Director of Public Health”, Ms.Beela Rajesh, Health Secretary, said through the Government Order.
