MADURAI: Rich tributes were paid to former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K.Kamaraj in Madurai Kamaraj University campus here today-July 15th 2026- on the occasion of his 123rd birth anniversary with staff from various departments of the varsity turning up to pay their floral respects in a grand manner and rededicate themselves to the cause of education.
The Centre for Educational Research (CER) of Madurai Kamaraj University had arranged for a special celebration in the varsity campus to commemorate the birth anniversary of great leader Kamaraj which is being observed as Educational Development Day every year.
MKU Registrar in-charge Dr.S.Muthiah and Controller of Examinations in-charge Prof.M.Kanmani (Dean, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University-Chennai) along with CER Director in-charge Dr.R.Annadurai and CER assistant professor Dr.M.Rajeshkumar were among those who paid their tributes and recalled the contributions made by Bharat Ratna K.Kamaraj towards education.
“Kamarajar’s education vision continues to serve as a guiding force for higher education in our State and for increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio…What he did was a great social transformation and we rededicate ourselves to the cause of education as envisioned by great Kamarajar,” the MKU staff has said today.
