GOOD NEWS FOR WOMEN: ‘Aaatral’ launched in Madurai by CII’s women wing to groom women entrepreneurs with business skills in 11 months…(Part-1)

MADURAI: For the aspiring women from Madurai who want to improve their business and become successful entrepreneurs, there is a way to empower themselves by learning the skills that are required to execute in their business management from micro level.

The Confederation of Indian Industry’s Indian Women Network (Madurai Chapter) had launched its 11-month flagship initiative for women entrepreneurship christened as “Aaatral” in Tamil which will empower early-stage women entrepreneurs and take them to the success stage through mentoring, networking, peer learning and business management skills by a structured mentoring ecosystem to help them for business scalability.

This ‘AATRAL’ initiative to empower women in their business was launched at a special event organized at Thiagarajar College in Teppakulam in Madurai today morning- July 14th 2026- where the inspirational woman personality of Madurai Dr.G.Natchiar (Founding member of the world famous Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai) had given a motivational message for success.

MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING IN LIFE:

“Content is more important than the container. Develop a power of passion and always remember that money is not the end product. There is a committed group in CII-IWN to guide you, and make use of their expertise to succeed in your life and in your business,” Dr.G.Natchiar, founding member, Aravind Eye Care System, has said in her chief guest address today while addressing the women who had joined in this entrepreneurship training.

Dr.Hema Sathish, Convenor, IWN Madurai Chapter and Managing Director of Devadoss Multispeciality Hospital, had given an outline about ‘Aatral’ initiative in her welcome address by saying that it will be a very good platform for women entrepreneurs and it can create super women from Madurai in the coming days.

“We can help to strengthen marketing, networking, digital transformation, mentoring, operation skills, business development strategies, innovation and new ideas. Make use of this opportunity and succeed in your business,” Dr.Hema Sathish has said at the launch event that took place at Thiagarajar College in Madurai today morning.

Ms.Sharmila Devi, Lead-IWN Entrepreneurship Vertical (Founder of SevenClover Coaching Services) and Ms.Elamathi Arul, Co-Lead, Entrepreneurship Vertical of IWN Madurai (Director of Green Fem Producer Company) had motivated the women entrepreneurs by stressing that ‘Aatral’ is there for empowering, enabling and elevating.

“You should grow your business and achieve success. In the next 11 months, there will be orientation and mentoring sessions for you. We want to create a visible success of women entrepreneurs from Madurai. Aatral journey is a story of your identity,” Ms.Elamathi Arul has said.

Mr.Rajiv S Jeyabalan, Chairman, CII Madurai Zone and Managing Director of Susee Finance & Leasing Pvt Ltd, Ms.Kalyani Ramanathan, Co-lead, Entrepreneurship Vertical-IWN Madurai and Managing Partner of Sree Vinayaga Screens and Ms.Visalakshi Kannan, Co-Convenor of IWN Madurai Chapter and Director of VTM Limited, had addressed the ‘Aatral’ members with a message of women power and how micro entrepreneurs are important for India’s economy.
