MADURAI: For the people of Madurai North Assembly constituency who want to express their grievances, complaints and suggestions about their basic problems in their locality, there is a direct opening to meet their elected local MLA Mr.A.Kallanai of the TVK party (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) who is spending time to hear the local needs in his constituency on every Tuesday.
“Today, I had convened the first public grievance meeting of residents from various wards in Madurai North constituency. The local issues in each ward came to my notice and I will meet the public to hear their grievances on every Tuesday and I already informed this to the Madurai Corporation officials and staff that Tuesday should be a grievance day meet to solve their basic needs of underground drainage, corporation dustbins, waste collecting corporation vehicles and adequate number of conservancy workers in the corporation area to collect garbage everyday,” Mr.A.Kallanai told reporters after attending a public grievance meeting and taking petitions from Madurai North constituency residents at Madurai Corporation Zone-2 office on Race Course Road in Madurai today-May 26th 2026.
The TVK MLA Mr.A.Kallanai who got elected from Madurai North in the recent assembly elections had assured that he will look into all the important public appeals for providing more corporation dustbins in their areas, garbage collection vehicles shortage, need for tricycles to collect waste and the issues of contract workers who are involved in conservancy work for Madurai Corporation.
“I am visiting all places in my constituency Madurai North. Our TVK government will work in an unbiased manner as per our CM instructions. Today in this meeting, I spoke to the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of Madurai Corporation in this grievance meeting in Zone-2 office. I will solve the issues ward-wise in my constituency based on an action plan for solving underground drainage problems, water stagnation on roads, waste disposal, garbage collection, bad damaged roads, wrong contracts given by previous government etc,” the Madurai North MLA Mr.A.Kallanai has assured while speaking to reporters after the grievance meeting conducted at Madurai Corporation Zone-2 office in Race Course Road in the city near the Madurai District Court building complex.
