
BJP’s Madurai South candidate Prof.Raama Sreenivasan press meet in Madurai on April 10th 2026.
MADURAI: The BJP had today urged the Election Commission of India to deploy more of its surveillance staff in Tamil Nadu in the next two weeks to stop and catch hold of those from the DMK who are indulging to lure the voters with money.
“Election Commission is working well in an unbiased manner in India. But I request the EC to be more alert because we suspect that the DMK will make last minute money transactions to the voters. The DMK Stalin government had earned crores of rupees in the last five years and we are requesting the EC surveillance teams in our State and in Madurai district to be more vigilant and stop money distribution to voters in their constituencies. The Election Commission of India (ECI) can deploy more police and its staff to track the TN elections now because assembly elections in other State are over and those staff can be brought to Tamil Nadu now,” Prof.Raama Sreenivasan told reporters at a press meet held at BJP office in Madurai Bibikulam today- April 10th 2026.
The BJP candidate from Madurai South assembly constituency Prof.Raama Sreenivasan also demanded the EC officials to create squad teams for tracking the movement of vehicles in the next 12 days and stop money circulation in Tamil Nadu before the assembly elections in the State on April 23rd 2026.
“The DMK leaders have a lot of money in thousands of crores of rupees that was earned by corrupt means and scams…That money will get distributed now in this crucial assembly elections in our Tamil Nadu State….So, the BJP is urging the Election Commission of India to form more special surveillance teams for Tamil Nadu because the elections in Kerala and other places are over. The EC teams we need now are to catch red-handed the DMK money cash distribution to the voters,” Prof.Raama Sreenivasan told reporters at BJP press meet held in Madurai Bibikulam today-April 10th 2026.
BJP national spokesperson Mr.Tuhin Sinha and senior party leader from Madurai Mr.Saseeraman were among those who were present at the press meet in Madurai today.
