MADURAI: Congress party leaders in Madurai district have strongly condemned the comment made by BJP senior leader and BJP national secretary Mr.H.Raja here today (31st August 2020) that ‘Rahul Gandhi is a “Semi-Italy Semi-Italian” and that he will not make any comment about Rahul Gandhi since Rahul is an “inexperienced” person in politics and does not know about Indian way of living. Mr.H.Raja spoke to reporters in Madurai city today.
“Rahul Gandhi came from great Jawaharlal Nehru’s family that had sacrificed for this country. Who is H.Raja? He is a HALF MENTAL…….He could not even win the Scouts election. We do not see him as a BJP leader at all. The Congress Party will stage State-wide protests against H.Raja. If he says that our Rahul Gandhi is Semi-Italy, then we will call him ‘Half Mental’.
Congress party will not leave BJP’s H.Raja to just make comments like this,” Mr.V.Karthikeyan, Madurai District Congress Committee president, told ‘Lotus Times’ news website – www.lotustimes.org– here on 31st August 2020 while giving his reaction.
Already, Sonia Gandhi had earlier faced comments about her roots from Italy despite marrying Rajiv Gandhi several decades back and settled in India without holding any position of power.
