MADURAI: Lady Doak College (LDC) in Madurai had emerged as winners of Madurai Kamaraj University inter-collegiate women basketball tournament for 2026-27 by beating Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar’s Senthikumara Nadar College in the finals with 59-55 score while Fatima College from Madurai stood in third position in this tournament.
This tournament took place at Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar’s Senthikumara College on September 15th and 16th, according to the results press release received from LDC here today.
LDC won the finals and came first while Virudhunagar Hindu Senthikumar Nadar College stood in second spot.
Fatima College came in third place and V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women at Virudhunagar got the fourth position, according to the press release.
Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College along with Dr.T.Shantha Meena and Dr.M.Hemalatha, Directors of Physical Education-LDC, had congratulated the winning team students of LDC and wished them more success in future tournaments.
