MADURAI: Old students and alumni of Fatima College in Madurai who are now living in Singapore had a get together meeting at Hotel Anandha Bhavan in Singapore on August 22nd 2026 where they shared their golden nostalgic memories of their campus life in Fatima College in Madurai during their young days.
The Fatima College Alumnae Association (FCAA) took a special initiative to hold its Alumnae Chapter meeting in Singapore on August 22nd 2026, according to a press release received from the college here yesterday.
Dr.Ragam, president of FCAA and assistant professor of physics at Fatima College in Madurai, had welcomed the Singapore alumni while Dr.Ancemma Joseph, assistant professor of physics at Fatima College here, gave an overview of the institution, its growth in last few decades, achievements, legacy and recent developments in the campus, according to the press release here yesterday.
NEW OFFICE-BEARERS IN SINGAPORE:
Election for the new Executive Committee of Singapore Chapter of Fatima College Alumni Association was conducted and office-bearers were elected unanimously.
Ms.Viji of Sr.Chapter 1983-86 zoology batch was elected as president while Mrs.Sagunthala Jegatheesan of 1992-95 B.A. and 1997-98 M.A.Tamil major is the secretary, the press release had informed and the other office-bearers are Ms.Francisca Kalpana (1998-2001 batch) as vice-president and Ms.Lakshmi Prabha of BBA 1999-2002 batch got elected as treasurer.
The alumni of Fatima College in Madurai who are now in Singapore had expressed their happiness in reconnecting with their alma mater Fatima College because they are getting a chance to see their old friends through alumnae network.
