CHENNAI: A.Narayanan, an officer of 1998 batch of the Indian Railways Personnel Service, has assumed charge as new Principal Chief Personnel Officer of Southern Railway here today-May 8th 2026. He earlier held the post of Chief Personnel Officer / Admin of Southern Railway.
In his career in railways, Mr.A.Narayanan has held several key assignments including senior divisional personnel officer at Tinsukia Division of Northeast Frontier Railway, senior divisional personnel officer at Chennai Division of Southern Railway, Member Secretary of Railway Recruitment Board-Chennai and Cief Personnel Officer of Industrial Relations in Southern Railway.
“Mr.A.Narayanan has also undergone extensive professional and leadership training at the National Academy of Indian Railways, Vadodara and XLRI Jamshedpur etc. He also had high speed rail training and he is an MBA from IIM-Bangalore,” a press release from Southern Railway here today has informed.
