MADITSSIA’s 52nd anniversary and awards presentation event held in Madurai on April 18th 2026.
MADURAI: The 52nd anniversary of Tamil Nadu’s industrial policy influencing trade body-MADITSSIA- was celebrated here on April 18th 2026 by reaffirming its commitment to the growth of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises in Madurai district.
The first prize in Visweswaraya Manufacturing Enterprise category was bagged by Kayal Agro Foods in Madurai and this award was presented to the awardee company by Dr.Kavidasan, Director, Roots Industries India Limited, who also gave away the awards to outstanding industrial enterprises in various categories, according to a press release from MADITSSIA president Mr.V.Senthikumar here today.
“Applications were received from 243 entrepreneurial firms for this year’s 28th Visweswaraya Awards. The prestigious first prize in Visweswaraya Manufacturing Enterprise category was awarded to Kayal Agro Foods-Madurai,” MADITSSIA president Mr.V.Senthikumar has said in the press release today.
MADITSSIA also presented the 14th Sakthi Masala Awards for women entrepreneurs, 12th TVS Mobility Awards for service industries and 5th MaFoi Awards for Startups, he added.
From the received applications, 23 companies were shortlisted and onsite inspection was done in their company premises to identify the enterprises for awards and the award selection process was explained by Dr.N.Manjula (Dean Outreach-Thiagarajar School of Management) who gave details about the evaluation process for these awards, the press release said.
MADITSSIA also honoured its past presidents, consultants from SIDBI industrial clinic, awards committee jury members, exhibition chairmen, mentors and coordinators.
V.Senthikumar, MADITSSIA president, Mr.J.Ashok, MADITSSIA secretary, S.Nachiappan, anniversary chairman and MADITSSIA joint secretary Mr.Pon Kumar were among those who had felicitated the award recipients at the 52nd anniversary celebration of MADITSSIA held at MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai on April 18th 2026.
