MADURAI: The BJP candidate who is contesting from Madurai South assembly constituency as NDA candidate had raised a pertinent question by asking the voters of his assembly segment to think whether the DMK party alone is the single representative of people of Tamil Nadu and whether Stalin alone represents the crores of voters who are going to cast their votes in the coming 2026 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
“DMK and Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin are saying that it is Tamil Nadu team vs Delhi team. It is a very misleading statement from Stalin side because DMK is not the sole representative of Tamil Nadu and Stalin alone do not represent the whole Tamil Nadu. There are several people on the streets and how can DMK say that it is Tamil Nadu versus Delhi. The people of Tamil Nadu will reject such sort of campaign by the DMK and this will be visible from Madurai South voters also as our election campaign picks up in this area,” the BJP candidate from Madurai South assembly constituency Prof.Raama Sreenivasan has said while speaking to ‘Lotus Times’ English news website in Madurai on April 7th 2026 during his election campaign at Teppakulam in Madurai.
Prof.Raama Sreenivasan had accused the DMK and CM Stalin for creating a TN vs Delhi campaign mode in this 2026 assembly elections because he (Stalin) wants to convert his personal problems in the party as poll campaign material to attack BJP, AIADMK and the NDA parties.
“Stalin is going with a sentiment strategy and DMK is implementing it. DMK’s internal problems are being shown as TN vs Delhi. Personal problems of Stalin will not get public support and the visit of our national leaders like Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr.Devendra Fadnavis for my nomination filing from Madurai South assembly constituency had triggered the impetus from national level in Madurai South areas….. and DMK is trying to pick up by raising people’s local regional sentiments against BJP and NDA. That will not happen this time in this coming elections in Madurai South,” the BJP candidate Prof.Raama Sreenivasan had asserted while talking to ‘Lotus Times’ English news website on April 7th 2026 during his campaign trail in Madurai.
