MADURAI: The Christian Reformation People’s Association had demanded the Central and State governments to take immediate action against Member of Parliament Mr.Tiruchi Siva and youtuber Mr.Mukthar Ahmed for their alleged defamatory comments about great leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu late K.Kamaraj.
Mr.Tiruchi Siva’s controversial comments a few months back about late Kamarajar had created a huge furore in public and political circles in July 2025 and there was a demand for apology from the DMK’s senior leader and Member of Parliament Mr.Tiruchi Siva.
“No action has been taken till now. The former Chief Minister K.Kamaraj has been subjected to defamatory remarks by MP Mr.Tiruchi Siva while youtuber Mukhtar Ahmed had made insulting statements in his video by portraying Kamarajar as a caste leader. These comments are unacceptable but no action has been taken yet. Our association is also demanding the governments at the Centre and in the State to remove defamatory videos from social media platforms and youtube channel,” Mr.Devasagayam, president, Christian Reformation People’s Association, has said in a press statement released in Madurai on December 16th 2025.
Emphasising that Kamarajar was not a leader confined to any one particular community, he said that late Kamaraj was a great visionary personality who worked for the nation tirelessly.
“Tiruchi Siva had made derogatory comments on Kamarajar. Even his party leaders today have not condemned the remarks. Kamarajar laid focus on education of all people and equal opportunities to all sections of the society and the way in which he abolished caste focus in education system is wellknown. So, we want the government to take stringent action against those persons who defamed the great leader Kamarajar,” the press statement said.
