MADURAI: As a part of its community service activities, the Rotary Club of Madurai Star had provided 50 sets of benches and desks to the Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Mehaboobpalayam in Madurai on November 11th 2025.
Mr.J.Karthik, Rotary District Governor of Rotary International District 3000, had handed over the benches and desks totally costing Rs.4.5 lakhs during his official visit to Rotary Club of Madurai Star along with Rotary district office-bearers.
“The Rotary’s support with school furniture will help 180 students of 6th to 8th std students who are studying in this school. Our district governor Mr.J.Karthik from Perambalur came to Madurai and presented the 50 sets of benches and desks to school Headmistress Ms.Sagaya Nancy in the presence of Rotary club president Er.D.Balasubramanian, club secretary S.Karthi, treasuer P. Srinivasan and regional coordinator C.Ramesh along with assistant governor Dr.P.Suresh Pandian,” according to a press release received from Rotary member Mr.Nellai Balu here yesterday.
