MADURAI: A felicitation function was organized by the Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi at Raj Bhavan in Chennai to recognize higher education institutions and colleges in the State which had bagged top ranks in the latest NIRF rankings 2025 (National Institutional Ranking Framework).
He had congratulated the college managements of respective colleges and higher education institutions in the State for securing top rank in NIRF list and he spoke about the importance of quality education at a Conclave for Excellence in Higher Education in Tamil Nadu’ which was held at Raj Bhavan today – October 8th 2025- and its was attended by renowned academicians and education experts.
“Thiagarajar College from Madurai was among those in the NIRF 2025 top rankings list by consistently securing a place in the TOP 20 rank band for the past three years in the college category and it reflects our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation and a holistic institutional growth”, Dr.D.Pandiaraja, Principal, Thiagarajar College-Madurai, has said immediately after his team had received an appreciation certificate from Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi at Raj Bhavan in Chennai today afternoon for the NIRF top rank.
The Tamil Nadu Governor had felicitated Thiagarajar College president Dr.Uma Kannan and college Principal Dr.D.Pandiaraja along with his team including Dr.P.Prakash, Dean-R&D, Dr.R.Sayeekannan, HoD, Department of Chemistry, Dr.M.Viji, Assistant Professor-Botany and Dr.K.Renugadevi, Assistant Professor, Biotech, according to information received from the college here today.
“This honour and recognition from the Tamil Nadu Governor for our NIRF 2025 rank is yet another feather in our cap and it adds to our prestigious NAAC A++ accreditation and the Double Star rating received in the IIC awards,” Dr.D.Pandiaraja, Principal, Thiagarajar College, has said today after the Tamil Nadu Governor’s felicitation function at Raj Bhavan in Chennai today- October 8th 2025.
