MADURAI: A special event was organized in Madurai today by leading CA coaching institute Padmarajam Institute of Management to honour school teachers with Teacher Excellence Award 2025 for their success and sacrifice in shaping up school students for their future career.
Teachers who are handling commerce and accountancy subjects in various schools in Madurai district were presented with excellence awards at a grand ceremony held on September 27th 2025 in association with ‘Hindu Tamil Thisai’ daily newspaper from ‘The Hindu’ Group which gives a special focus for education and students’ career.
Mr.P.Balan, Chairman and Managing Director, Padmarajam Institute of Management-Madurai, Mr.A.Karmegam, District Educational Officer (Matriculation Schools)-Madurai and Mr.S.Srinivasagan, News Editor, Hindu Tamil Thisai, were among those who had complimented the school teachers for their great service to society.
“The Hindu in Tamil is now 13 years…every page in our newspaper has a distinct feature with value-added content that suits every age group. Our management has given clear guidelines for daily news coverage and we follow them in our newspaper daily with no sensationalism especially for suicide news. Teachers have an important role to play these days due to many challenges that are coming up due to behavioural aspects from students, and hence our school teachers must discharge their duty in tune with the current trends,” Mr.S.Srinivasan, News Editor, Hindu Tamil Thisai, has said in his welcome address.
Mr.A.Karmegam, DEO of Matric Schools in Madurai district, has said that teaching job is a noble profession and the role of commerce and accountancy teachers at school level is very important for shaping up the future chartered accountants, cost accountants, auditors etc.
More than 400 commerce and accountancy teachers had received excellence awards in today’s event in Madurai.
The significant role being played by Padmarajam Institute of Management, which is located very close to Government Meenakshi Women’s College at Goripalayam in Madurai, was appreciated for shaping the commerce students towards a glorious career in the financial field that determines the future for a developed India.
