
MADURAI: The Confederation of Indian Industry has yesterday launched Entrepreneurs Development Forum in Madurai under a national movement to empower over one lakh micro entrepreneurs with structured business knowledge and practical tools for their sustainable growth.
Mr.Ashwin Desai, Chairman, CII Madurai Zone and Managing Director of A&T Video Networks Pvt Ltd, inaugurated the forum here on September 25th 2025 and shared his own experiences in entrepreneurial journey.
The new initiative was taken up by CII Centre of Excellence on Employment & Livelihood to catalyze the growth of micro enterprises and empower micro entrepreneurs, according to a press release received from CII Madurai Zone here yesterday.
“Every entrepreneur is a nation builder. And, we want micro businesses to become sustainable engines of India’s economic resilience,” Mr.Ashwin Desai has said and stressed that EDF is a movement to walk with small entrepreneurs hand-in-hand by shifting them from chaos to clarity and always keep them business ready. At the launch event in Madurai yesterday, the small business owners had discussed about real challenges from cash flow etc.
“CII CEL invites ecosystem partners, corporates, financial institutions and associations to join hands in scaling up the movement. With right support, India’s micro entrepreneurs will not only scale their businesses, but also their confidence and leadership,” the press release added.
