
MADURAI: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Madurai Division is playing a key role in enforcing the Railways Act by registering cases against offenders who are affecting the safety and security of train passengers.
“During the current year, so far the RPF had arrested 3,717 offenders and prosecuted them with a realization of about Rs.13 lakhs as fine. The RPF Madurai Division is maintaining close liaison with local police, government railway police, excise, forest, State and district civil authorities to ensure hassle free journey of passengers. We are implementing many schemes and programs of Government of India and the Ministry of Railways. In these missions, the Railway Protection Force is doing its duty for the nation. On September 20th 2025, the RPF Madurai Division had organized various programs in railway stations in this division like Unity Run, Shramdan, tree plantation, help to old age homes etc. The RPF is working with dedication for safety, security, humanitarian causes and for the country in various duties including general elections etc,” a press release received from the RPF Madurai Division has informed yesterday- September 21st 2025- with full details about how the RPF Madurai Division personnel are working in railway stations and on board trains for the safety of rail passengers.
This message from the Railways was to commemorate the 41st RPF Raising Day celebrations held in Madurai Division at railway stations in Madurai region to highlight the rail safety initiatives being implemented for train passengers in railway stations.
