MADURAI: The visit of Union Home Minister Mr.Amit Shah to Madurai and his meetings here on June 8th 2025 will give a strong political message that will set the poll pitch for next year’s Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, top BJP leader said today.

“This Madurai visit will galvanize not only the party cadres of our BJP but also the alliance parties. He has a clear strategy for the assembly elections because it is a do or die for the NDA alliance also. At any cost, the DMK should not come to power again in Tamil Nadu. It is certain that the PMK and DMDK will stand solidly with the NDA. Everything will start taking shape soon and will be firmed up after Amit Shah’s Madurai visit,” a senior BJP leader told ‘Lotus Times’ media over phone from Chennai today.

A few other party sources have indicated that actor Vijay’s TVK too will have no other option but to join hands with the NDA because they cannot stand alone to fight the assembly polls.

“Vijay cannot just harp on minority votes. When his political rival is DMK, then why will he stand alone in elections. Definitely many other parties including actor Vijay’s TVK will join the AIADMK-led poll alliance in Tamil Nadu after a few months,” a senior BJP leader has said.
