MADURAI: Leading career analyst and career guidance expert Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi has today given his career guidance tips to students by saying that it will be prudent and wise if they opt for ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) branch in engineering admissions this year.
“My top pick is ECE because Indian electronics industry is surging ahead. The semiconductor sector is poised for tremendous growth and India needs 1.2 million semiconductor by the year 2030,” he told ‘Lotus Times’ media on May 26th 2025.
Replying to a question on what will be his top three picks for B.E. engineering aspirants who are queuing up to join engineering colleges in this academic year 2025-26, Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi has suggested the three branches in the order- ECE, B.E. Computer Science and Engineering Cyber Security and the third one is EEE.
His observation and prediction assumes significance because he had recently done an extensive academic study in the US visiting top corporate companies, research institutions and world famous universities in that country to understand the latest trends in engineering and other fields.
“Core engineering graduates will enjoy strong job prospects, contingent upon their skill sets. Computer science and engineering graduates will also find opportunities, through competition will be fierce due to the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). A significant increase in computer science and engineering graduates is anticipated between 2028 and 2030, further intensifying competition,” Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi has said in his analysis message on May 26th 2025.
