MADURAI: R.Rajesh Kannan, Physical Education Teacher, O.C.P.M.Girls Higher Secondary School at Tallakulam in Madurai, had recently received Chief Minister’s Award in recognition of his commendable achievements in the field of sports.
The Chief Minister’s Sports Awards were presented at a special event conducted by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu at Nehru Stadium in Chennai on May 5th 2025 where the CM’s awards in the category of physical directors/ physical education teachers were presented to the selected recipients for the year 2021-22.
Mr.R.Rajesh Kannan from OCPM Girls Higher Secondary School in Madurai was presented with award citation, medal and a cash prize of Rs.one lakh from the govermnment.
Madurai District Collector M.S.Sangeetha had congratulated physical education teacher Mr.R.Rajesh Kannan at the collectorate here on Friday- May 16th 2025. District Chief Educational Officer Mrs.A.Renuka and district education officers-Mrs.P. Indira (Melur), Mr.Ashok Kumar (Madurai) and Mr.Sudhakar (matriculation schools) were present.
