BLACK BADGES ON TEACHERS’ DAY SEPT 5th: AIFUCTO gives a national call to all teachers across country (Part-1)

MADURAI: The All India Federation of University and College Teachers Organisations (AIFUCTO) has given a national call to all the teachers in India to discharge their duties with black badges on Teachers’ Day- September 5th 2024.

“The national executive council of AIFUCTO had decided at its meeting in New Delhi that teachers will wear black badges as a mark of protest against the current educational scenario. Teachers are asked to wear black badges on this day- September 5th 2024- while teaching, participating in functions etc. AIFUCTO will support the demonstrations held in New Delhi from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar in Delhi. There is going to be massive agitations in coming days and many protests will be there in September 2024 at colleges and universities in India. There will also be a State-level convention or protest on October 4th 2024 and many more protests at national level up to Delhi for highlighting the teachers’ demands,” Prof.M.Nagarajan, AIFUCTO president and Prof.Dr.Arun Kumar, AIFUCTO general secretary, have appealed in their press statement on September 3rd 2024, which includes several demands on UPS-pension scheme etc.
