MADURAI: An orientation cum training programme on how to give Basic Life Support (BLS) was organized exclusively for police personnel of three police stations in Madurai yesterday- on August 31st 2024- under the auspices of Hannah Joseph Hospital.
This training was meant to train the police in providing basic life support through emergency medical procedures in the case of a medical emergency such as cardiac arrest, and how the life of affected person can be saved by knowing BLS methods.
According to a press release, the hospital’s BLS training program was conducted at Thirupparankundram here and 65 police personnel from Thirunagar, Avaniapuram and Thirupparankundram had attended the session which was held by Dr.Joseph Sanjay Manoj, Senior Consultant Intensivist (Emergency and Critical Care), Hannah Joseph Hospital.
Mr.Gurusamy, Assistant Commissioner of Police-Thirupparankundram, had presided over the BLS training session for police personnel which was organised by Hannah Joseph Hospital’s head of marketing and corporate relations Mr.R.Sekar, the press note said.
