DOUBTS ABOUT STATUTE:

A few senior professors and HoDs told ‘LotusTimes’ here today- on January 6th 2023- that the university authorities should follow the MKU Statute and any decision on HoDs rotation must be in accordance with the university statute. “Right now, only the chairpersons of schools are appointed on rotation basis and it is a smooth affair going on as per our university statute. But the proposal taken up now by our VC and his team will affect the senior faculty. What will happen to the senior most person? Who will come to the MKU Academic Council and MKU Senate? We request the university authorities to follow Statute provisions. Suggestions will be given as and when the meeting is convened,” a couple of HoDs told ‘LotusTimes’ website in Madurai today.
