MADURAI: The sixth Oxygen Express carrying six tankers with 89.2 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen needed for southern districts of Tamil Nadu had arrived at Kudal Nagar in Madurai today- on 6th June 2021- Sunday evening. This was the 50th loaded oxygen express for Tamil Nadu that supplied liquid medical oxygen for hospitals and patients, a press release received from Madurai Division of Southern Railway had informed here today.
The Oxygen Express was loaded at Rourkela in Odisha with six tankers carrying 89.16 metric tonnes of LMO. With this, the total oxygen delivered for Tamil Nadu is 3,405 MT. Today’s was the sixth oxygen express meant for southern districts of Tamil Nadu- with roll on roll off concept, totally bringing 435.19 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen for medical use in southern districts of the State.
