MADURAI: For those who are violating the lockdown and curfew rules despite Corona warnings by authorities, the police in Madurai city are giving them a good reply in their own style.
The Avaniapuram police in Madurai are not only catching hold of casual wanderers on motorbikes for violating Section 144 rules but also doubling it up with fine for driving without helmet.
On 23rd April 2020 morning, the police began very strict implementation of lockdown norms since this is not the time for coming out of homes and be on roads in view of corona virus spread. In some cases police had let off after giving a warning while fine was collected from some as they were driving without wearing a helmet.
