MADURAI: Political economist and author Mr.Parakala Prabhakar has said that the victory of youth agitation at Jantar Mantar in the national capital should be the beginning of many larger battles and agitations to reclaim the Republic and Constitutional values from the present regime that is ruling the country.
“What happened in Jantar Mantar is a great victory to the democratic movement that was launched and led by our youth. Let there be thousands and thousands of Jantar Mantars in the country and let every dissenting mind be a Jantar Mantar because Jantar Mantar is not merely a physical space in Delhi. Every place of protest anywhere in the country is a Jantar Mantar agitation,” he said when his reaction was sought about the resignation of Union Minister Mr.Dharmendra Pradhan following massive youth agitation on NEET exam question paper leak issue.
Mr.Parakala Prabhakar had also stressed on July 26th 2026 that it is not fair to expect the children to take up and fight every battle.
“Other sections should draw inspiration from the Jantar Mantar experience and expand the agenda for relcaiming all our Constitutional values. The biggest achievement of our youth is to show the rest of the country that this regime (at the Centre) is not invincible and that it will retreat in the face of a determined ‘feet on the ground’ agitation,” the political economist who travels across India to deliver lectures on matters of Constitution, political economy etc has added while giving his reaction on the recent Jantar Mantar agitation in Delhi.
