
MADURAI: Sethu Institute of Technology (SIT) near Madurai has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Indonesia, as a significant step to strengthen its global academic collaboration and international partnerships.
The SIT team led by founder and chairman Mr.S.Mohamed Jaleel had signed the MoU in the presence of Indonesian varsity represented by chemistry professor Prof.Meliyana Ulandari and botany professor Prof.Rosy Fitrari Ramadhani, according to a press release received from SIT here on June 26th 2026.
“This collaboration with Universitas Negeri Jakarta in Indonesia is aimed to promote academic excellence through faculty and student exchange programmes, collborative research, industry-oriented training, emerging technology initiatives, academic mobility and hosting of international conferences, seminars and workshops that will be mutually beneficial,” the SIT has informed in the press release.
Among those from SIT who were present at the MoU signing include Mr.S.M.Seeni Mohaideen, Dr.S.M.Seeni Mohamed Aliyar Maraikayar, Ms.S.M.Nilofer Fathima, Ms.S.M.Nazia Fathima and Principal Dr.G.D.Sivakumar along with Deans, HoDs and faculty members- Dr.Jebakumar Immanuel Edison, professor, Department of Chemistry and Dr.Tamizhselvi, Dean, Department of Biotechnology.
