New Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Madurai V.Prasanna assuming charge in Madurai today and he was a TCE student. (Lotus Times April 1st 2026).
MADURAI: Mr.V.Prasanna had assumed charge as the new Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Madurai Division of Southern Railway- April 1st 2026. He succeeds Mr.L.N.Rao who had retired from service as ADRM yesterday.
Mr.V.Prasanna was serving as Chief Commercial Manager/Freight Marketing and Claims in South Eastern Railway prior to this latest railway assignment as new ADRM of Madurai Division of Southern Railway.
He holds a B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the prestigious Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai. He is an officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) of 2007 civil services exam batch.
In his Indian Railways career, he held several key positions including senior Divisional operations Manager (Sr.DOM)-Palakkad and Tiruchi divisions and also as senior divisional commercial manager in Madurai Division and also as senior divisional safety officer in Chennai Division.
A press release from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway today has said that Mr.V.Prasanna had received five efficiency shields for the divisions where he worked with his experience in railway operations, commercial and safety departments.
