Sanitary napkin incinerator presented to Govt school at Kulamangalam by Voice Trust in Madurai

MADURAI: A sanitary napkin incinerator was presented to Government Higher Secondary School at Kulamangalam near Madurai on March 9th 2026 by Voice Trust with support from Mrs.Sri Vidya Suren of USA.

This incinerator was handed over to the school at a social outreach programme conducted by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan team of Lady Doak College in association with Voice Trust for the benefit of girl students, according to a press release here yesterday.

T.Murugesan, founder and managing trustee of Voice Trust, had delivered an awareness lecture on health and hygiene for students of 6th to 9th standard while Mrs.M.Lakshmi, coordinator of Centre for Environmental Studies and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at LDC, had demonstrated to the students on how to properly use the sanitary napkin incinerator.

“This event created awareness among students on menstrual hygiene and importance of health education. Our Voice Trust thanks LDC Principal and Secretary Dr.R.Beulah Jeyashree for her support along with UBA coordinator Mrs.M.Lakshmi and Mrs.J.Sharmila,” the press release from Voice Trust has said.

Mr.Agasthya Bharathy, Director of Junior IAS Academy, had conducted a motivation session for the students to aspire and prepare for UPSC exams.
