MADURAI: Start small, think big and achieve success more and more in a guided way. This guiding principle is becoming a motivating reality show for women entrepreneurs and business starters at ‘Aarogya Santhai’ monthly expo being organized on the first Saturday of every month by Madurai-based Green Fem at Gandhi Museum campus here.

The positive vibes of this exclusive women empowerment initiative were clear at the fifth monthly market conducted today-on January 3rd 2026- as a Pongal festival special and the public response is growing if the thronging crowds at 50 stalls put up by businesswomen with entrepreneurship passion are an indication.

“Green Fem Producer Company in Madurai is an empowerment platform to groom women entrpreneurs. Our members had shown solid results by emerging from crisis to success. There are many success stories here if you see women who had bounced back in their domestic life and started supplying their products to supermarkets and foreign countries etc. Our ‘Aarogya Santhai’ which is the fifth one today demonstrates that we could create successful women entrepreneurs with loan and phone by motivating them in their business with required manufacturing, branding, packaging and marketing support for their products, and by ensuring quality,” Mrs.R.Elamathi, Director, Green Fem, has said at the inauguration of Pongal special ‘Aarogya Santhai’ in Gandhi Museum premises here today morning.

P.Premalatha, chairperson, Child Welfare Committee-Madurai and V.John Rajadurai, programming director, Radio City 91.9 FM-Madurai, who were invited as chief guests had lauded the inspiring supporting role being played by Green Fem team in moulding women as successful businesswomen from the scratch.

S.A.Arul, secretary, Voluntary Association for Peoples Service (VAPS) at Besant Road in Chokkikulam in Madurai, has said that the Pongal festival 2026 will harvest more success stories in the coming year and important meetings are being organized in January to expand Green Fem’s focus to several other districts due to the demand coming from various places to promote eco-friendly and healthy living products.

Team leaders Mr.G.Ramakrishnan and Dr.M.Subburajan along with VAPS and Green Fem staff were present at the exhibition today-January 3rd 2025. With the support of NABARD, the concept of monthly market for women entrepreneurs was launched in Madurai on September 6th 2025 and it is taking place on first Saturday of every month at Gandhi Museum here.
