
MADURAI: More than 800 special children had a jolly day in Madurai today thanks to a special event organized for them by the members of Rotary clubs in Madurai.
The special celebration project titled ‘Chellame Chellame’ was a happy occasion as special children gathered in one place and enjoyed the special love and affection showered on them by the members of Rotary International District 3000 through a joint special event of all Rotary Clubs of Madurai at Lady Doak College campus here on July 20th 2025.
S.Vanitha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-Madurai City), was the chief guest for this July month special project of Rotary clubs in Madurai where special games and entertainment were provided for the hundreds of special children and marked a special day for the parents and family members who brought them to the venue at LDC campus in the city today morning.
A.Leo Felix Louis, Rotary District Governor Nominee designate for 2027-28, Ms.Sharmila Madhavan, event chairman, Mr.Antony Premkumar, regional coordinator of Rotary, S.S.Sivakumar, event co-chairman, S.Dasskumar, District Project Coordinator (RI District 3000), Ms.Nagalakshmi, Mr.Prasanna (treasurer), assistant governor Mr.Suresh Pandian and other Rotary office-bearers including Mr.Praveen Kumar and L.Ramanathan along with Rotaract Club president S.Bharathi of Lady Doak College were among those present at the inaugural function along with parents and teachers who attended this special project on special day today.
